Warranty Details
PKM Landscape Design, Inc. will offer a one-time only replacement of any tree, shrub, evergreen or woody vine that has died before the first frost, provided the plant has been cared for as instructed, has not been crushed by snow or misused. PKM Landscape Design, Inc. will not replace plants killed by animals, rodents, insects, and mechanical damage, neglect including lack of water (not watered by an automated irrigation system), natural disasters, transplants or other reasons over which PKM Landscape Design, Inc. This warranty does not cover annuals, small perennials, ground covers, wildflowers, seeds, bulbs, roses and non-winter hardy plants. An additional labor charge for plant removal and reinstallation will apply. Any repairs/replacements made to any installation after expiration of the warranty will be made at Client's expense. Any repairs made to any installation by any party including the homeowner, other than PKM Landscape Design, Inc. voids any warranties offered by PKM Landscape Design, Inc. If a professional landscape plan is not used, customer agrees and authorizes PKM Landscape Design, Inc. to use their professional discretion when choosing plant specimens and positioning/location.
Plantings
All sprinkler and irrigation systems are guaranteed to function properly for one (1) year from installation; however, company accepts no responsibility for variations or deficiencies in function caused by water volume or pressure varying. All other items installed by PKM Landscape Design, Inc. are guaranteed to function properly for one (1) year from installation. Irrigation is intended for turf area only. Slight over-spray of a few feet into beds where accessible. Front sidewalk turf will not have full coverage due to town restrictions. Not responsible for any underground utilities, including pipes, wires, drywell's, etc. that may be struck during pipe pulling process. Irrigation maintenance does not include any repairs. All repairs are billed based on time and material needed.
Irrigation
PKM Landscape Design, Inc. will replace any part of the night light system for one (1) year from the date of installation, provided the night lighting has been cared for as instructed, and not misused. PKM Landscape Design, Inc. will not replace any parts of night lighting that is not defective, neglected by homeowner or human error including accidental breakage of fixtures, digging of wires, power surge from improper GFI outlet, natural disasters or other reasons over which PKM Landscape Design, Inc. has no control. PKM Landscape Design, Inc. is not responsible for bringing power to existing external outlet or replace outlet for any reason.
Night Lighting
Brick-Paving-Retaining Walls
PKM Landscape Design, Inc. warrants that brick paving/bluestone or retaining wall material used in this contract will be free from defects and the installation will be functional for a period of two (2) years from the date of completion of the Contract, provided the installation was used as was intended when the Contract was designed, and was not misused. Any repairs/replacements made to any installation after expiration of the warranty will be made at Customer's expense. Any repairs made to any installation by any party other than PKM Landscape Design, Inc. voids any warranties offered by PKM Landscape Design, Inc.
Lawn Installation
PKM Landscape Design, Inc. installs lawns according to common industry practices, using quality grass seed/sod, applied at a rate of at least that of the manufacturer’s recommendation. It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that rough grades have been established according to municipal drainage plans and within 2” of finished grade. Once seeded/sod, PKM Landscape Design, Inc. has no control over weather, watering or other cultural practices of Customer. Therefore PKM Landscape Design, Inc. cannot guarantee the germination rate of seed, or general success of the seeding. Repairs done on a seeding project are done at the expense of Customer. PKM Landscape Design, Inc. also cannot accept responsibility for settling due to new construction, utility lines or any other excavations not performed by or supervised by PKM Landscape Design, Inc.
PKM Landscape Design, Inc. installs lawns according to common industry practices, using quality grass seed, applied at a rate of at least that of the manufacturer’s recommendation. PKM Landscape Design, Inc. has no control over weed development, crabgrass, weather, watering or washout from rain. Therefore PKM Landscape Design, Inc. cannot guarantee the germination rate of seed, or general success of the seeding. Germination is dependent on proper care and water. For best results keep seed moist.
